Social Responsibility in Early Childhood Education

Our approach to social responsibility in early childhood education focuses on:

  • Fostering empathy, respect, and inclusivity in young minds
  • Instilling values of kindness, fairness, and environmental stewardship
  • Teaching children to understand their impact on the world around them
  • Empowering children to make positive contributions to their communities
  • Laying the foundation for future generations to be caring, compassionate, and socially aware individuals
For Children

Preschool education goes beyond academic achievement; it emphasises holistic development. Children learn about the world through interactions with parents and families, through conversations, play activities, and daily routines.

Children who are nurtured and well cared for are more likely to fully develop cognitive, language, emotional, and social skills, grow up healthier, and have higher self-esteem.

For Community Learning

Educating and training parents and families is essential for early childhood development. Our community training programs focus on child healthcare and development, aiming for better learning outcomes in schools and higher educational attainment, resulting in significant social and economic gains for society.

It is essential to educate communities on the importance of early childhood education.

When parents are well-educated and trained, they gain a sense of competence and self-efficacy, leading to constant satisfaction. This positive change in attitude benefits their children as well.

For Teachers

Anganawadi teachers play a significant role in shaping the understanding, traits, and habits of children at this stage.

Continuous professional development through training programs allows teachers to learn new methods, strategies, skills, and tools.

Outcome of Teacher Training
Early Childhood Education Learning Outcomes

We are dedicated to providing top-quality education that is intentionally designed to develop skills and expertise as you prepare for the next step in your education or career. The learning outcomes reflect the specific competencies that you will gain from our education programs, while the curriculum map portrays how these competencies will shape and prepare you for the real world.

Apart from preschool training for kids, we also train teachers to engage in their other day-to-day activities:

  • To elicit community support and participation in running the program.
  • To weigh each child every month and record the weight graphically on the growth card.
  • To carry out a quick survey of all the families, especially mothers and children, in their respective areas of work once a year.
  • To organize supplementary nutrition feeding for children (0-6 years) and expectant and nursing mothers by planning the menu based on locally available food and local recipes.
  • To provide health and nutrition education and counseling on breastfeeding and infant & young feeding practices to mothers. Anganwadi Workers, being close to the local community, can motivate married women to adopt family planning/birth control measures.
  • To make home visits to educate parents to enable them to plan an effective role in the child’s growth and development, with special emphasis on newborn children.
  • To guide Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHA) engaged under the National Rural Health Mission in the delivery of health care services and maintenance of records under the ICDS Scheme.
  • To assist in the implementation of Kishori Shakti Yojana (KSY) and motivate and educate adolescent girls and their parents and the community in general by organizing social awareness programs/campaigns.
  • To identify disabilities among children during home visits and refer the cases immediately to the nearest PHC or District Disability Rehabilitation Centre.
Conclusion

By fostering these values and skills in children, families, and educators, JNYANAM Innovative Learning® aims to create a compassionate, informed, and responsible community for the future.
